The Miami Heat Made A Roster Move On Monday

The Miami Heat assigned a player to the G League before Monday's game.

On Monday night, the Miami Heat defeated the Atlanta Hawks 130-128 at home in Florida.

Before the game, the team made a roster move by assigning Nikola Jovic to the G League.

Via Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel: "The Heat have assigned Nikola Jovic to the G League Sioux Falls Skyforce."

Jovic was the 27th pick in the 2022 NBA Draft this past summer and is averaging 5.5 points and 2.1 rebounds per contest in 15 games.

He has also played in two G League games with averages of 8.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per contest.

Via Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald: "Nikola Jovic played for the Skyforce last night as part of his G League assignment. Jovic finished with 12 points on 3-of-7 shooting from the field and 2-of-3 shooting on threes, nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks and six turnovers."

With the victory over the Hawks, the Heat have now won two games in a row (they also beat the Hawks on Saturday).

They are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-31 record in 66 games.

Over the last ten games, the Heat are 4-6, and they are an outstanding 21-12 in the 33 games they have hosted at home in Miami.

In two out of the last three seasons, they have been to the Conference Finals, and in 2020 they made the NBA Finals.

The Heat will play their next game on Wednesday evening when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers.
