Toronto Raptors Announce 3 Roster Moves

The Toronto Raptors have announced three roster moves.

NBA free agency began over three weeks ago, but there will still be many moves leading up to training camp and the season as teams finalize their rosters.

On Saturday, the Toronto Raptors announced three roster moves. 

Via The Raptors: "The Toronto Raptors announced Saturday they have re-signed guard Jeff Dowtin Jr. The Raptors also re-signed guard-forward Ron Harper Jr. and signed guard Javon Freeman-Liberty to two-way contracts. Per team policy, financial terms of the deals were not disclosed."

Dowtin Jr. played in 25 regular season games for the Raptors last year and averaged 2.4 points and 1.2 assists per contest while shooting 43.9% from the field and 31.3% from the three-point range. 

He also spent a significant amount of time in the G League, playing in 19 regular season games and 14 Showcase Cup games. 

On July 22, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that his deal with the Raptors is for training camp. 

As for Harper Jr., he played in nine games for the Raptors this past year (which was his rookie season) and averaged 2.2 points per contest while shooting 50.0% from the field. 

On July 20, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that his deal with the Raptors is a two-way contract. 

Lastly, Freeman-Liberty spent his rookie season with the Windy Bulls and has yet to make his NBA debut.  

In the G League, he averaged 17.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 1.4 steals per contest while shooting 49.7% from the field and 39.0% from the three-point range in 16 regular season games (he also appeared in 18 Showcase Cup games).  

On July 21, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that his deal with the Raptors is for a two-way contract.
