Utah Jazz Reportedly Make A Roster Move

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Utah Jazz will sign Johnny Juzang to another two-way contract.

Johnny Juzang is coming off his rookie season, where he averaged 4.8 points and 2.2 rebounds per contest while shooting 33.7% from the field in 18 games for the Utah Jazz

He was on a two-way contract, so he also played in the G League for the Salt Lake City Stars and averaged 20.8 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.3 assists per contest while shooting 42.9% from the field 36.4% from the three-point range in 17 regular season games (he also appeared in seven Showcase Cup games).

On Wednesday, ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Jazz will bring him back on another two-way contract.

Via Wojnarowski: "Free agent G Johnny Juzang is returning to the Utah Jazz on a two-way contract, his agents Sam Goldfeder and Jordan Gertler of @excelbasketball tell ESPN. Juzang had a strong Vegas summer league, averaging 17.8 points."

Juzang initially went undrafted in 2022.

The 22-year-old played three seasons of college basketball (two for UCLA and one for Kentucky).

In 2021, he helped the Bruins reach the Final Four for the first time since the 2008 season.

As for the Jazz, they entered into a rebuilding mode last summer when they traded All-Stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell.

This past year, they went 37-45 and finished as the 12th seed in the Western Conference, so they missed the NBA playoffs for the first time in six seasons.

That said, they were competitive at the beginning of the year and have a talented roster that could compete for the 2024 postseason.
