Victor Wembanyama Fails Epic Highlight In Spurs-Timberwolves Game

Victor Wembanyama nearly pulled off an incredible highlight.

UPDATE: The Spurs lost by a score of 114-105, and Victor Wembanyama finished with 17 points, 13 rebounds, five assists, two steals and four blocks. 

On Tuesday evening, Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs are playing the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Target Center. 

During the game, the star rookie nearly pulled off an incredible highlight but was fouled and missed the shot.

Despite being unable to finish off the sensational play, the clip still went viral on social media. 

Wembanyama entered the evening with impressive averages of 20.7 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.3 blocks per contest while shooting 46.7% from the field and 31.8% from the three-point range in his first 52 NBA games. 

There is an excellent chance that he will win the 2024 Rookie of The Year Award. 

Despite Wembanyama's strong play, the Spurs remain in rebuilding mode and are the 15th seed (last place) in the Western Conference with an 11-47 record in 58 games. 

They are 1-9 over their last ten games and are in the middle of a four-game losing streak. 

Following the Timberwolves, the Spurs will return to San Antonio to host the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday evening. 

As for the Timberwolves, they are the first seed in the Western Conference with a 40-17 record in 57 games.

They are 7-3 over their last ten games and most recently beat the Brooklyn Nets by a score of 101-86. 

Following the Spurs, the Timberwolves will remain in Minnesota and host the Memphis Grizzlies at the Target Center on Wednesday evening.
