Steph Curry's Block On Paolo Banchero Went Viral In NBA All-Star Game

UPDATE: The Western Confernece lost by a score of 211-186, and Steph Curry had 16 points, six rebounds, eight assists and one block. 

On Sunday evening, Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry is playing in his tenth NBA All-Star Game.       

The four-time NBA Champion is not known for his rim protection but had an excellent defensive highlight during the first half. 

As Orlando Magic star Paolo Banchero went up for a dunk, Curry came from behind and blocked the shot.  

The play became an even more significant highlight as Anthony Edwards finished with a dunk on the other end of the floor.  

Curry is in the middle of another remarkable season with averages of 28.0 points, 4.4 rebounds and 5.0 assists per contest while shooting 46.2% from the field and 42.1% from the three-point range in 50 games. 

He will turn 36 next month but is still among the best ten players in the league and playing at an MVP level. 

Right now, the Warriors are the tenth seed in the Western Conference with a 27-26 record in 53 games.

They have had an up-and-down season but went into the All-Star break with a 6-1 record in their previous seven games. 

As for Banchero, he was the first pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Duke and is playing in his first All-Star Game. 

He is averaging 23.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 46.2% from the field and 36.5% from the three-point range in 55 games (he's played in every game).  

The Magic are the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 30-25 record in 55 games.
