Zion Williamson's Alley-Oop Dunk Went Viral In Rockets-Pelicans Game

UPDATE: The Pelicans won by a score of 127-105, and Zion Williamson had 27 points, three rebounds, nine assists, two steals and one block. 

On Thursday evening, Zion Williamson and the New Orleans Pelicans are playing the Houston Rockets (at home).   

During the game, Williamson had a big highlight that got a lot of views on social media.   

Herbert Jones threw a lob to Williamson, who finished off the play with a dunk.

Williamson entered the evening with averages of 22.4 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.8 assists per contest while shooting 58.5% from the field and 36.4% from the three-point range in 44 games.  

The Pelicans are the sixth seed in the Western Conference with a 33-22 record in 55 games. 

They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak and are 7-3 over their last ten games.  

Most recently, the Pelicans beat the Washington Wizards by a score of 133-126. 

Williamson was fantastic and put up 36 points, six rebounds, eight assists and one block while shooting 15/21 from the field in only 34 minutes of playing time. 

Following the Rockets, the Pelicans will remain in New Orleans to host the Miami Heat on Friday evening. 

At home, they are 16-10 in 26 games. 

As for the Rockets, they are the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 24-30 record in 54 games. 

They are 3-7 over their last ten games and most recently lost to the Memphis Grizzlies by a score of 121-113. 

Following New Orleans, the Rockets will host the Phoenix Suns on Friday evening in Houston.
