3x NBA Champion The Los Angeles Lakers Should Sign

I believe the Los Angeles Lakers should consider signing three-time NBA Champion Danny Green.

Danny Green is coming off a season where he played for the Memphis Grizzlies and Cleveland Cavaliers.

The three-time NBA Champion played in 11 regular season games and averaged 5.5 points and 1.3 rebounds per contest while shooting 44.9% from the field and 43.2% from the three-point range (he also appeared in four NBA playoff games).

This summer, Green became a free agent and still remains available to be signed by any team in the league.

I believe the Los Angeles Lakers should consider signing Green.

Why?

Green is a reliable veteran who has played for many elite teams throughout his 14-year career.

In addition, the former UNC star helped the Lakers win the 2020 NBA Championship over the Miami Heat during his one season with the franchise.

Therefore, he could be an excellent addition to their bench (and would likely be signed to a veteran's minimum deal).

This past year, the Lakers were the seventh seed in the Western Conference, but they made the Conference Finals.

With LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Austin Reaves and D'Angelo Russell on the roster, they will once again be among the contenders to win the title.

Green has played in astonishing 169 NBA playoff games, so he can be counted on to hit big shots and play vital minutes if needed.

In addition to the Cavs, Grizzlies and Lakers, the 36-year-old has played for the San Antonio Spurs, Toronto Raptors and Philadelphia 76ers.

He has solid career averages of 8.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 42.1% from the field and 40.0% from the three-point range in 830 regular season games.
