5x NBA All-Star The Chicago Bulls Must Consider

I believe the Chicago Bulls should consider signing John Wall.

John Wall was the first pick in the 2010 NBA Draft out of Kentucky by the Washington Wizards.

At one point, the five-time NBA All-Star was among the top point guards in the league.

This past year, Wall played in 34 games for the Los Angeles Clippers and averaged 11.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 5.2 assists per contest while shooting 40.8% from the field.

On Saturday, Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report and the NBA on TNT reported that Wall will work out in front of teams on Sunday in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Via Haynes: "Five-time NBA All-Star guard John Wall is holding a private workout for multiple teams Sunday in Las Vegas, league sources tell @NBAonTNT@BleacherReport."

I believe one team that should consider signing Wall is the Chicago Bulls.

Why?

While Wall is no longer in his prime, he is still a capable point guard, and the Bulls need as much depth at the position as they can get.

Starting point guard Lonzo Ball, who missed all of last year, will likely be out for the 2023-24 season.

The Bulls have a talented roster that features DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine and Nikola Vucevic.

Therefore, they need a guard who is an excellent distributor (Wall averages 8.9 assists per contest for his career).

This past year, the Bulls were the tenth seed in the Eastern Conference with a 40-42 record.

They lost to the Miami Heat in the play-in tournament, so the franchise missed the postseason for the fifth time in six seasons.

In addition, the Bulls ranked 20th in the NBA for assists per game (24.4).

Wall could likely be signed for a minimum contract at this stage of his career, meaning there would be no downside if he were not a good fit with the team.
