Boston Celtics Reportedly Interested In 2x NBA All-Star

According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Boston Celtics have an interest in a two-time NBA All-Star.

The NBA trade deadline is on Thursday, so teams are likely having many discussions about potential deals.

On Monday, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reported intel from around the league, and he revealed that the Boston Celtics have an interest in several players, including two-time NBA All-Star Andre Drummond (Chicago Bulls).

Drummond was once among the best centers in the league when he was with the Detroit Pistons.

In recent years, he has become a role player off the bench and is currently in his second season playing for the Bulls.

Right now, the 30-year-old is averaging 7.7 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 55.3% from the field in 50 games (seven starts).

He has been highly reliable, as he hasn't missed a game.

That said, the Bulls (23-27) are not going to be contending for a title this season, and the veteran center would be a much better fit on a team like Boston.

The Celtics are the first seed in the Eastern Conference with a 38-12 record in their first 50 games.

They have been to the Conference Finals five times over the previous seven seasons and reached the 2022 NBA Finals.

Drummond was the ninth pick in the 2012 NBA Draft and is in his 12th season in the league.

He has also spent time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers (in addition to the Bulls and Pistons).

His career averages are 12.8 points, 12.4 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 blocks per contest while shooting 54.2% from the field in 835 games.
