Current NBA Superstar Reportedly Unfollowed Ja Morant

According to NBA Alerts, Devin Booker (Phoenix Suns) unfollowed Ja Morant (Memphis Grizzlies).

The activity of NBA players on social media has been one of the most entertaining parts of the league over the previous decade. 

Fans are constantly checking X (formerly Twitter) for updates on rumors, signings, and trades in addition to what players are posting. 

NBA Alerts (which tracks the social media activity of the NBA world) reported (on August 22) that Phoenix Suns superstar Devin Booker unfollowed Memphis Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant on X. 

Booker has 1.2 million followers and is currently following 167 people, while Morant has 2.7 million followers and is only following 116 people.

It's unclear as to how long Booker had previously been following Morant, and it does not appear as if Morant is currently following Booker.

The post from NBA Alerts had over 54,000 impressions and 423 likes.

Booker (26) and Morant (24) are two of the best young stars in the NBA. 

This past year, Booker averaged 27.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 49.4% from the field and 35.1% from the three-point range in 53 regular season games. 

The Suns were the fourth seed in the Western Conference and lost to the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the NBA playoffs. 

Meanwhile, Morant averaged 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.1 steals per contest while shooting 46.6% from the field in 61 regular season games. 

The Grizzlies were the second seed in the west but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.
