Golden State Warriors Reportedly Interested In 6x NBA All-Star?

According to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, the Golden State Warriors could be one of the teams interested in Blake Griffin.

Blake Griffin was once among the best power forwards in the NBA, but at this point in his career, he has turned himself into a solid role player.

This past year, the former Oklahoma star played for the Boston Celtics and averaged 4.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists per contest while shooting 48.5% from the field and 34.8% from the three-point range in 41 regular season games.

The Celtics lost to the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, and Griffin appeared in one 2023 NBA playoff game.

This summer, he became a free agent and is still available to be signed by any team in the league.

According to Sam Amico of Hoops Wire, the Golden State Warriors are one of the teams that could be interested in signing the six-time NBA All-Star.

Via Amico's article on Hoops Wire: "It is believed the 76ers and Warriors are among some of the other teams interested in Griffin, as may be the Clippers, the team with which Griffin’s career began."

The Warriors have been to the NBA Finals six times over the previous nine seasons, so adding a veteran like Griffin to the end of their bench would be a solid move.

This past year, they were the sixth seed in the Western Conference and lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in the second round of the NBA playoffs.

As for Griffin, he has also played for the Brooklyn Nets, Detroit Pistons and Los Angeles Clippers.

His career averages are 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.0 steals per contest while shooting 49.3% from the field and 32.8% from the three-point range in 765 regular season games (he has also appeared in 68 NBA playoff games).
