Knicks And Bulls Reportedly Discussing Trade For NBA All-Star?

According to Joe Cowley of The Chicago Sun-Times, the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls have discussed a trade for Zach LaVine.

On Thursday, rumors and deals around the NBA are happening at a very fast pace because the trading deadline is at 3 P.M. Eastern Time

One rumor to keep an eye on is the report from Joe Cowley of The Chicago Sun-Times, who says the Chicago Bulls and New York Knicks have spoken about a trade for All-Star Zach LaVine.

Via Cowley: "Just heard from a source that Bulls and Knicks are revisiting talks on a LaVine trade. Talks began yesterday but broke off. Now back on."

Since it's the trading deadline, it's always worth noting that many teams talk and there are always rumors about deals that are never close to coming to fruition.

That said, the Bulls have been one of the biggest disappointments in the league during the 2022-23 season.

They made the NBA Playoffs in 2022 (for the first time since 2017), while this season, they are currently 26-28 in 54 games.

The Bulls are the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference and 3.5 games behind the Miami Heat for the sixth seed (the final guaranteed playoff spot).

However, even if they make the postseason, they don't look like a team who could get out of the first round.

LaVine is one of the best shooting guards in the NBA and is averaging 23.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.0 steals per contest in 50 games.

He is also shooting 46.4% from the field and 37.5% from the three-point range.

As for the Knicks, they are the seventh seed in the east with a 30-26 record in 56 games.
