On Thursday evening, the 2023 NBA Draft will be held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

The Draft is always one of the biggest days of the offseason, as many teams make trades (in addition to the 60 players that will be selected into the NBA).

According to SNY's Ian Begley, the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers "have had contact" regarding NBA All-Star Paul George.

Via Begley's Tweet: "The Knicks and Clippers have had contact about a potential Paul George trade, per SNY sources. It is unknown if Clippers are willing to move George. @TheSteinLine reported earlier that Clips gave rival teams the impression that they were gauging George's trade value last week."

At 33, George still remains among the best forwards in the league and is coming off a season where he averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.5 steals per contest while shooting 45.7% from the field and 37.1% from the three-point range.

He is entering his 14th season in the NBA next year and has also played for the Indiana Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder.

While the Clippers have an elite roster, they continue to deal with injuries and most recently lost in the first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

Meanwhile, the Knicks have a young roster led by rising star Jalen Brunson, who led them to the second round of the Playoffs for the first time since 2013.
