On Sunday, Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium reported that the Phoenix Suns acquired three-time NBA All-Star Bradley Beal in a deal with the Washington Wizards (that will also include future Hall of Famer Chris Paul).

With the addition of Beal, the Suns now have a sensational roster that features Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton (and Beal).

On Monday, Charania appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and shared an update about Ayton following the addition of Beal.

Charania: "One thing Pat, that has happened since this trade is Phoenix has been getting a lot of calls on Deandre Ayton in the last 12-18 hours. Teams seeing if now Deandre Ayton is a little bit more attainable."

Ayton was the first pick in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Arizona and has spent his entire career (five seasons) with the Suns.

This past year, the star center averaged a solid 18.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per contest while shooting 58.9% from the field.

From 2011-20, the Suns had missed the NBA Playoffs, but in each of the last three seasons, Ayton has helped them become one of the premier teams in the league.

In 2021, the Suns made the NBA Finals, and in 2022, they had the best record in the NBA.

Last year, they were the fourth seed in the Western Conference and defeated the Los Angeles Clippers in the first round of the Playoffs (in five games) before losing to the 2023 NBA Champion Denver Nuggets (in six games).
