With the centenary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans quickly approaching, Mobil 1 is celebrating with a first-of-its-kind documentary for the motor oil brand: the release of “Racing with Giants: Porsche at Le Mans,” which will explore the past 100 years of Le Mans.

The documentary further brings Porsche’s dominant racing history to the big screen.

WHAT:

Mobil 1, in collaboration with Hagerty Media, is working with acclaimed automotive content house, Robert Dalrymple Productions to create a new documentary: “Racing with Giants: Porsche at Le Mans”

“Racing with Giants: Porsche at Le Mans” is a one hour / long-form special that will connect the race cars to the road cars they inspired, showcasing Porsche’s 75th Anniversary and dovetailing it into the 100th anniversary of the running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

The documentary will debut ahead of Le Mans this year, and pairs archival footage from the event with firsthand interviews from former and current racers, and notable collectors/enthusiasts, mixed with modern driving footage of past production model Porsches to give the Porsche history the feel of an exciting sports documentary series.

Following the premier event, the documentary will then air on Hagerty Media’s YouTube channel on Thursday, June 1 at 8:00pm ET.
