After a week off, Formula One is back at Albert Park in Melbourne, Australia. A staple on the Formula One calendar, this track has produced some good races and let’s hope for another one!

Max Verstappen is on pole once again and looks like the clear favorite to win. After Verstappen, things look interesting.

After complaining about their pace so far this season, Mercedes has George Russell starting second and Lewis Hamilton starting third. Fernando Alonso starts fourth and Carlos Sainz starts fifth. Sergio Perez starts last after crashing in Q1 of qualifying.

After going 2-2 in prognosticating the last race, we hope to improve even more with these winners. All odds provided are from SI Sportsbook:

Alexander Albon Top Ten Finish –105

Albon had a good start to the season, finishing 10th in Bahrain. Albon and the Williams car have looked very quick in the straights this weekend. He’s starting 8th so these are good odds. Albon has also shown that he has good race pace here, as he scored points in Australia last year.

George Russell Podium Finish –125

The young Mercedes driver has looked quick this weekend and you should count on Mercedes to bag a needed podium finish as they have previously failed to be on the podium so far this season.

They are in a great spot, especially Russell, with his teammate Hamilton acting as a potential blocker to the rest of the field.

Lewis Hamilton Podium Finish +125

I hedged my bets last race with a team so why not do it again? It seems like a safe bet that at least one of the Mercedes drivers will be on the podium and there is the chance both could do so if Perez and Alonso can’t catch them from behind.

Take Hamilton -- who, by the way, hasn't won a race since 2021 -- at plus odds to show he’s still got the pace to fight at the front after starting third.

Sergio Perez Podium Finish +300

The long shot play of the week. Perez is starting last, which won’t make this easy. However, Red Bull has shown a clear pace advantage so far throughout the year.

With a safety car bunching up the field, Perez could find himself near the podium places quicker than people might think. Keep an eye out for last race’s winner.

Season Record: 2-6

Yes, with a record like that to date, we definitely have some ground to make up on, and Australia could very well be the place for us to do just that. Best of luck betting and enjoy the race!
