F1 News: Fans Call For Huge Red Bull Change As Team Posts Hilarious Throwback

F1 fans have called for the Red Bull team to make a major change.

Red Bull has recently shared a throwback photo from when the driver lineup was Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo and it has left fans calling for a big change within the team.

The post is a series of photos from the 2018 season when Verstappen and Ricciardo had special edition race suits for the Austin Grand Prix. The team wrote:

"Some inspiration for your car design. Rewind to 2018 when @maxverstappen1 & @danielricciardo had special edition race suits."

This has obviously taken some fans back down memory lane who are eager to bring back the iconic duo. This comes after mounting rumours of friction between Verstappen and his current teammate Sergio Perez as the latter has been able to put more pressure on the Dutch driver for the drivers' championship this season.

One fan commented:

"You 2 are my favourite pairing of Red Bull! Fun en Fast!"

Another fan called for the Austrian team to bring Ricciardo back into a full time seat on the team. They wrote:

"Put Daniel back in the second seat"

McLaren announced during the 2022 season that they were parting ways with the Australian driver at the end of the year. As time went on with no announcements of another permanent seat for Ricciardo, it became clear that he was struggling to secure a suitable position. Red Bull later announced that they had signed Ricciardo as their third driver for 2023, however, the eight-time grand prix winner is keen to make a return for 2024.

Someone else made the same suggestion, writing:

"Checo out Daniel in"

Perez is in contract until the end of 2024 so is here to stay for a bit longer. Red Bull team chief Christian Horner has attempted to squash the rumours of friction in the team, stating that it is the best possible position for the team to have both drivers fighting it out at the top.

Red Bull has dominated the 2023 season so far, winning all five races and having 1-2 finishes in four out of those five.
