Sergio Perez On Dream Red Bull 1-2 Finish At 2023 Bahrain Grand Prix
Sergio Perez has spoken about the dream finish for Red Bull during his post-race interview after coming second place in the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Max Verstappen took the top spot on the podium whilst Fernando Alonso took third place for the first race of the season.
In his post-race interview, the Red Bull driver explained:
"It's a great start. I mean, when we look back at last year, how we started here is really nice. It's a nice comeback as a team, we worked really hard over the winter. So it's great to see all the boys enjoying the first race and we have a strong package.
"It was all about minimising the damage. So finishing second is the maximum I could do today. It's a long season. I think I'm getting closer every single session.
"Yeah, certainly [think I will give Max a run for his money]. I think I'm feeling comfortable with a car and we have a strong package. And yeah, I will I will give my best.
The next important F1 date for fans to remember is the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix on 17-19 March.
