A leaked poster of season six might have the answer.

As per sources, the sixth season of the acclaimed F1 docuseries Drive to Survive is scheduled to be released on Friday, February 23rd. However, it is worth noting that this has currently not been confirmed by Netflix. This instalment will provide an insider's view of the 2023 campaign, capturing behind-the-scenes moments with the teams and Formula 1 paddock that unfolded throughout the year.

Formula One's global popularity received a big boost after Netflix's launch of the docuseries based on the sport, which offered a unique perspective to viewers and fans that they had never experienced before.

A poster advertising the latest episodes was found to be circulating online that confirmed the 2024 release date of Friday 23rd February, which tallies with the 2024 pre-season testing in Bahrain.

It would mark the perfect time for fans to reflect upon the previous season of Formula 1, right before a new campaign begins. It would also familiarise those who are new to the world of F1 as the series would serve as a background to the 2024 season.

Several critics of the show questioned the show's authenticity, including three-time world champion Max Verstappen, who chose not to feature on the show as he held it responsible for portraying "fake" rivalries. However, he eventually softened his stance after speaking to the producers.

Red Bull team principal Christian Horner recently expressed his views on the huge effect the series had on Formula 1. He told the Financial Times:

“Of course they’re making a TV show, so they’ll create a narrative.

“They’ll portray you sometimes you’re the baddie, sometimes you’re the hero, sometimes you’re both in one episode.

“But the effect that it’s had on the sport has just been insane. I mean, it’s been an absolute game-changer for Formula 1 in bringing in an entirely new audience to watching Formula 1 racing.”
