Alex Cerqueira has become known for his distinctive bow-and-arrow celebration and eye-catching blue and green chaps within the Unleash The Beast tour. Despite his unique style, Cerqueira's performance in the series has been somewhat subdued since his debut in 2020, with his highest ranking being 19th in the world that season. He slipped to 28th place in 2021 and sat out the entirety of the 2022 season, finishing 2023 at a modest 53rd position.

However, Cerqueira is now determined to let his riding skills do the talking. In a recent PBR event in Salt Lake City, he put on a commendable performance, achieving success in 2 out of 3 rides and securing a second-place finish, matching his best-ever performance in his Unleash The Beast career. While he didn't win on this occasion, Cerqueira remains optimistic about his progress and is eager to build on this momentum in future competitions.

To further improve his performance, Cerqueira is paying close attention to his diet to maintain peak physical condition. Additionally, he regularly participates in the Touring Pro Division’s PBR Stockyards Showcase in Fort Worth, Texas, using these events as part of his training regimen. Cerqueira treats these showcases as valuable opportunities for practice, approaching them with the same intensity and focus as he would a genuine competition to keep his competitive edge sharp.

Originally from Brazil, Cerqueira discovered his passion for bull riding at the age of 14 after being inspired by televised PBR events. Despite delaying his relocation to the United States until 2020 due to familial obligations, he believes that the added life experience has provided him with a significant advantage. Cerqueira views his later entry into the U.S. bull riding scene as a positive, affording him emotional and mental maturity that he may have lacked if he had begun his career at a younger age.

Looking ahead, Cerqueira is excited to build on his recent success at the Michelob ULTRA PBR event in Los Angeles. Currently ranked 14th in the Unleash The Beast World Championship standings, a strong performance in Los Angeles could potentially propel him into the coveted Top 10 and establish him as a serious contender for the world title.

Driven by his desire for success, Cerqueira is committed to putting in the hard work necessary to finish the season within the Top 5, bringing him one step closer to achieving his dream of becoming a world champion.
