Sports fans have been tantalized by the commercials for months, but the first and most important major of the year is almost here. To celebrate Georgia’s iconic golf tournament, Under Armour is releasing a collection with cutting-edge innovation designed to support golfers in reaching their goals on the green. 

Aptly named the UA Patron's Golf Collection, the eye-catching apparel and footwear line has tradition at its core, drawing inspiration from the legendary Pimento Cheese Sandwich. 

A tradition unlike any other, this sandwich signifies more than a food option – it’s a representation of the sport's history and its traditions. The Southern-style sandwich debuted sometime in the late-1940s when it was originally sold for a quarter a piece. More than 80 years later, the sandwich is still made fresh for an affordable $1.50, often selling out as patrons flock to get their own taste of tradition.

While rooted in history, the collection incorporates athletic designs that resonate with the current graphic trend so golfers can express their love of the sport in a fun, culturally relevant way. When designing the Patron’s Golf Collection, the UA Golf team created products that balance tournament style and utilize Under Armour’s industry-leading technologies. 

The collection includes a variety of products for every type of golfer—including a hoodie, t-shirt, and polo that provide ultimate comfort and breathability, the recently launched Drive Pro that maximizes performance, and even a bucket hat for the golfer looking to stand out on and off the course.
