FA Cup Draw: Chelsea And Man City Dodge Premier League Opposition Again

Chelsea and Manchester City both have a chance to reach the FA Cup quarter-finals without playing a club from the Premier League.

Luton Town vs Chelsea was the first match revealed in Sunday's fifth round draw, shortly followed by Peterborough vs Man City.

Chelsea booked their place in the fifth round on Saturday by edging past Plymouth of League One in extra-time, having defeated non-League Chesterfield in round three.

Meanwhile, Man City saw off League Two Swindon 4-1 in the third round before beating Championship leaders Fulham by the same score in round four.

Luton, who have beaten Harrogate and Cambridge United in the Cup so far, are currently placed ninth in the Championship - 13 places above Peterborough.

Elsewhere in Sunday's draw, Middlesbrough were handed a home game with Tottenham as their reward for slaying Manchester United.

The draw was made before Liverpool's fourth-round clash with Cardiff, with the winner of that game set to play Norwich at home in the last 16.

Southampton vs West Ham United was the only guaranteed all-Premier League match drawn.

Most of these matches are expected to be scheduled for Tuesday, March 1 and Wednesday, March 2.
