UFL Transactions Include Former Chicago Bears Tackle Waived, Three Players Signed

On Tuesday, the UFL announced that the San Antonio Brahmas waived tackle Dareuan Parker, the Houston Roughnecks added two players and the St. Louis Battlehawks officially signed All-XFL defensive tackle Austin Faoliu.

The roster moves aren't stopping any time soon in the UFL, with teams continuing to make the necessary changes needed. On Tuesday night, the San Antonio Brahmas released offensive tackle Dareuan Parker. Three signings were announced as well across two teams:

  • TE Braedon Bowman (Houston Roughnecks)
  • K JJ Molson (Houston Roughnecks)
  • DT Austin Faoliu (St. Louis Battlehawks)

Faoliu’s signing was expected. SI reported a week ago that he would be joining the Battlehawks after spending last season in the XFL with the Seattle Sea Dragons. After earning All-XFL honors, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks and was active for two games last season. He also played for the Dallas Cowboys in 2021.

Bowman returns to spring football after playing for the New Jersey Generals in the USFL the last two seasons. He posted 31 receptions for 332 yards and two scores in his USFL career. The Birmingham Iron of the Alliance of American Football had him on the roster in 2019, and he hauled in four passes for 43 yards and one touchdown. Bowman also had NFL stints with the New York Jets, Jacksonville Jaguars, New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Chargers.

Molson joins Roughnecks kicker Luis Aguilar and the two will be competing for a starting kicker job. He was previously on the Green Bay Packers roster before joining the UFL. During his four seasons at UCLA, Molson converted 69 percent of his kicks, including a career-long field goal from 50 yards.

Parker’s release comes after spending 2023 with the Houston Roughnecks in the XFL, where he started nine games. He was in the NFL in 2021 with the Chicago Bears. Parker made 22 starts in 47 games with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, earning a Third-Team All-SEC selection from PFF in 2020 at right guard.

San Antonio has stayed busy this week with transactions that include the signings of cornerback Thakarius Keyes and offensive lineman Connor Davis.
