Congratulations to Valencia junior Noah Veluzat for being voted Scorebook Live’s Southern California boys basketball player of the week!

Veluzat’s triple double of 30 points, 12 dimes, and 11 boards led Valencia to an 83-67 win over Paraclete. 

Veluzat received 65.42% of the vote, beating out Saugus' Adrian McIntyre who finished with 26.81%.

Dominick Harris, Rancho Christian: Harris netted an impressive 30 points for Rancho Christian in their 85-81 win against Sierra Canyon.

Ziaire Williams, Sierra Canyon: Williams put up 28 points for Sierra Canyon in their loss to Rancho Christian. 

Luke Frasso, Peninsula: Frasso scored 18 points to go along with 13 boards in Peninsula’s 55-36 victory over West.

Melo Sanchez, Mater Dei Catholic: Sanchez was named to the Rancho Mirage Holiday Invitational all-tourney team after finishing with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists in a title game loss to Orange Lutheran.

Jailen Nelson, Carlsbad: Nelson had 29 points and 11 rebounds in Carlsbad’s 58-52 win over Coronado.

Stacey Johnson, Oxnard: Johnson scored 20 points, pulled down 6 rebounds, and dished out 5 assists in Oxnard’s 57-45 win over Crescenta Valley.

Jake Hlywiak, Valencia: Hlywiak was on fire from 3 point range, scoring 27 points on 7 3 pointers with 5 boards in Valencia’s 89-48 win over Highland.

Adrian McIntyre, Saugus: McIntyre lit it up, scoring 48 points, pulling down 13 rebounds, and nabbing 7 steals in Saugus’ 77-56 win against Santa Fe. 

Evan Mobley, Rancho Christian: Mobley’s 16 points, 11 rebounds double-double helped Rancho Christian to an 85-81 victory over Sierra Canyon.

Clark Slajchert, Oak Park: Slajchert had 29 points, 7 dimes, and 4 steals for Oak Park in their 65-59 win over La Canada.

Ben Shtolzberg, Notre Dame (SO): Shtolzberg had 22 points and 8 rebounds to go along with 5 assists in Notre Dame’s 96-61 victory over LB Millikan.

Peyton Watson, Long Beach Poly: Watson was a force on both ends, finishing with 19 points, 6 blocks, and 5 steals in Long Beach Poly’s 50-53 loss to St. Bernard.
