BATTLE GROUND — Hunter Ecklund scored 27 points to lead La Center to a 74-59 win over Bear Creek in a 1A regional loser-out on Saturday evening at Battle Ground High School.

The win ensures the Wildcats a date with league rival King's Way in the 1A state tournament on Wednesday in the Yakima SunDome.

Jace Blankenbeckler led Bear Creek with 18 points and Nathan Shields added 10. Isaiah Romero pitched in 17 for the Wildcats.
