HOW THE TOP 20 FARED

Nov. 13, 2020

1. Chandler (6-0) beat No. 14 Highland 42-19

Chandler will take on No. 2 Hamilton next week. The Wolves have won all six of their games by at least three scores.

2. Hamilton (6-0) beat Higley 42-36

Higley gave Hamilton everything it could handle Friday, but the Huskies held on.

3. Saguaro (4-1) beat Horizon 26-0

Saguaro held Horizon to 49 yards of offense.

4. Centennial (5-2) beat No. 8 Chaparral 42-28

Sophomore tailback Kavaughn Clark scored four touchdowns for Centennial.

5. Liberty (5-2) beat Brophy Prep 62-19

Liberty led 35-3 at halftime. Jordan Guevara caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from Brock Mast in the win.

6. Queen Creek (5-2) beat Mountain Pointe 57-16

The Bulldogs have won three in a row.

7. Williams Field (4-3) lost to Red Mountain 21-18

The Black Hawks were shocked by Red Mountain.

8. Chaparral (2-2) lost to No. 4 Centennial 42-28

The Firebirds tried to get tricky and it cost them Friday.

9. Corona del Sol (7-0) beat Westwood 44-12

The Aztecs have outscored opponents 273-52.

10. Desert Edge (7-0) beat Millennium 28-10

The Scorpions jumped out to a 28-0 lead.

11. Salpointe Catholic (4-0) - at Mountain View on Saturday

12. Casteel (4-3) beat Desert Ridge 24-17

The Colts trailed 10-0, but Dominic Digian's 18-yard rushing touchdown put Casteel ahead for good in the fourth quarter.

13. Boulder Creek (6-1) beat Valley Vista 41-14

Jacob Cisneros caught a 50-yard touchdown for the Jaguars.

14. Highland (4-3) lost to No. 1 Chandler 42-19

Highland trailed 21-13 at halftime but couldn't keep up with the state's top team in the second half.

15. Mountain View Mesa (6-1) fell to Basha 27-20

Mountain View tied the score at 20-20 with 1:04 to play, but a late Basha touchdown clinched the win for the Bears.

16. Campo Verde (3-2) - Idle

17. Ironwood (5-2) beat Apollo 29-20

Ironwood trailed 14-7 at halftime, but the Eagles fought back to win.

18. Sunrise Mountain (5-2) beat Verrado 42-14

The win snaps a two-game losing streak for the Mustangs.

19. Mesquite (5-1) - Idle

20. Pinnacle (3-3) beat Perry 52-20

Pinnacle led 34-7 at halftime.
