Congratulations to Calhoun City senior Arianna Campbell for being voted SBLive’s Mississippi High School Softball Player of the Week for April 12-18!

The senior went 7-for-11 at the plate with four RBIs and a run scored in a 2-1 week for the Lady Wildcats.

Campbell received36.77% of the vote, beating out Calhoun City's Conley Langford, who finished with 28.61%. Puckett's Kinley Ainsworth finished third with15.87% and Taylorsville's Emma Rankin was fourth with 6.79%. There were over 46,000 votes tallied this week!

Here are the other athletes who were nominated for April 12-18:

Kinley Ainsworth, Puckett: Went 7-for-11 at the plate with two doubles, a triple, a home run, nine RBIs and four runs scored in a 2-1 week for the Lady Wolves.

Brandi Bond, Sumrall: Went 5-for-12 at the plate with five doubles, three RBIs and five runs scored in a 2-1 week for the Lady Bobcats. Also pitched 4.2 innings to get the win in a 6-3 victory over Purvis, allowing two earned runs on five hits with nine strikeouts.

Jaclyn Carter, Hernando: Went 4-for-11 at the plate with a triple, five RBIs, five runs scored and three stolen bases in a 3-0 week for the Lady Tigers.

Paige Kilgore, Houston: Worked 21 innings in the circle and picked up four wins in a 4-0 week for the Lady Hilltoppers, allowing just one earned run on 10 hits with 42 strikeouts and four walks.

Ramsey Montgomery, Mantachie: Went 8-for-11 at the plate with three doubles, three RBIs and two runs scored in two wins over Walnut and a win over West Union. She also pitched 19 innings in the circle and gave up just one run on nine hits with 44 strikeouts and three walks.

Kaylee Owens, Itawamba AHS: Went 3-for 8 at the plate with a walk, a home run, five RBIs and four runs scored in a 2-1 week for the Lady Indians.

McKaylee Polk, Senatobia: Went 3-for-4 at the plate with two home runs, nine RBIs and seven runs scored in two wins over Independence and Cleveland Central. Worked three innings in the circle to pick up the win against Independence, allowing two earned runs on three hits and a walk with six strikeouts.

Sadie Stegall, Pontotoc: Went 8-for-10 at the plate with a home run, 11 RBIs and seven runs scored in a 3-0 week for the Lady Warriors.

Emma Rankin, Taylorsville: In the district 5-2A championship game, pitcher Emma Rankin threw a complete game no hitter, striking out 5, in our 2-0 win over Enterprise. She was also 1-3 at the plate with a solo homerun. 

Conley Langford, Calhoun City: Hit a 2-run walk off HR against East Webster on Thursday. In 4 at-bats, she ROE, had 2 walks, and hit the homer. On Tuesday, against Eupora, Conley went 4 for 5 with a single, 2 doubles, and a 2-run HR. The Lady Wildcats won the game 10-8.
