Who were the best players in the three-day King Cotton Holiday Classic?

The tournament featured top teams from Arkansas and across the country and saw several standout performances from the 16 boys teams that participated in the King and Creed brackets and the four girls teams.

Here is a list of the top players.

BOYS

Cam Wallace, Little Rock Parkview

The 6-foot-7 senior scored 13 points, had 9 rebounds, 4 blocks and 2 steals in a 66-63 victory over Fort Bend (Texas) Hightower in the King Cotton Classic in Pine Bluff. He had 24 points and 6 rebounds in a 87-46 victory over Goose Creek (Texas) Memorial in the semifinal.

Addison Shelton, Little Rock Parkview

The junior scored 12 points in a 66-63 victory over Fort Bend (Texas) Hightower and had 13 in a 67-58 loss to Magnolia in the Creed Bracket championship.

J.T. Miller, Little Rock Parkview

The 5-8 senior had 14 points on 6-of-13 shooting a in 87-46 victory over Goose Creek (Texas) Memorial and 17 on 6-of-14 shooting in a 67-58 loss to Magnolia in the Creed Bracket Championship.

Kel’el Ware, North Little Rock

The 7-0 senior scored 20 of his 24 points in the first half in a 77-46 victory over Calvary Baptist, (La.). He also had 12 rebounds and blocked 3 shots. He had 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 86-59 semifinal victory over Cane Ridge (Tenn.). He had 17 points and 6 rebounds in a 82-72 victory over Beaumont (Texas) United in the championship game.

NIck Smith, North Little Rock

The 6-5 senior guard scored 19 points and had 8 assists in a 77-46 victory over Calvary Baptist (La.). He had 32 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in the 86-59 victory over Cane Ridge (Tenn.) in the semifinal. In the championship victory over Beaumont (Texas) United, he had 33 points and 3 rebounds.

Corey Washington, North Little Rock

The 6-5 senior guard scored 18 points and had 6 rebounds in a 77-46 victory over Calvary Baptist (La.). He had 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the semifinal victory over Cane Ridge (Tenn.) and 23 points on 9-of-12 shooting with 10 rebounds and 6 assists in the championship victory over Beaumont (Texas) United.

Derrian Ford, Magnolia

The 6-4 senior guard scored 26 points, had 6 rebounds and 2 steals in a 55-47 victory over Cardinal Ritter (Mo.). He had 13 points and 7 rebounds in a 68-61 victory over Shreveport (La.) Huntington in the semifinal. He had 29 points on 10-of-24 shooting with 14 rebounds in 67-58 victory over Parkview in the championship game.

Devonta Walker, Magnolia

The 6-5 senior forward scored 13 points and had 9 rebounds in a 55-47 victory over Cardinal Ritter (Mo.) in the King Cotton Classic. He had 11 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists in a 68-61 victory over Shreveport (La.) Huntington in the same tournament. He had 10 points and 9 rebounds in the championship victory over Parkview.

Jai’chunn Hayes, White Hall

Hayes scored 18 points in a 51-41 loss to Shreveport Huntington (La.) in the King Cotton Classic. He had 22 points and 5 rebounds in a 84-50 loss to Cardinal Ritter (Mo.) and 9 points in a 59-44 loss to Fort Bend (Texas) Hightower.

Keaton Stone, White Hall

Stone had 10 points in a 84-50 loss to Cardinal Ritter (Mo.) and 13 points in a. 59-44 loss to Fort Bend (Texas) Hightower.

Khamani Cooper, Watson Chapel

The 6-3 junior scored 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting and had 9 rebounds in a 58-46 loss to Raymond (Miss.) in a consolation game in the King Bracket. He had 12 points and 5 rebounds in a 26-25 loss to Calvary Baptist (La.) in a consolation game.

Hampton Hall, Watson Chapel

The 6-3 senior had 10 points in a 58-46 loss to Raymond (Miss.) in a consolation game of the King Bracket.

Courtney Crutchfield, Pine Bluff

The 6-3 sophomore guard had 23 points on 8-of-16 shooting in a 62-57 loss to Cane Ridge in the first round of the King Bracket. He had 22 points and 6 rebounds in a 63-50 victory over Calvary Baptist (La.) and had 12 points and 5 rebounds in a 58-53 loss to Raymond (Miss.). 

Troy’reon Ramos, Pine Bluff

The 5-10 senior guard had 14 points and 5 assists in a 62-57 loss to Cane Ridge in the first round of the King Bracket. He had 10 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists in a 63-50 loss to Calvary Baptist.

Robert Lewis, Cardinal Ritter (Mo.)

The 6-8 senior scored 15 points on a 7-of-13 shooting in a 55-47 loss to Magnolia. He had 32 points on 13-of-16 shooting with 8 rebounds in a 84-50 victory over White Hall and 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting with 10 rebounds in a. 69-60 victory over De La Salle (Ill.) in a consolation game in the Creed Bracket.

Rayshun McCullar, Shreveport (La.) Huntington

The 6-1 senior guard had 12 points 5-of-12 shooting with 4 rebounds in a 51-41 victory over White Hall. He had 27 points on 11-of-20 shooting while making 4-of-8 three-pointers in a 68-61 loss to Magnolia and had 16 points and 5 rebounds in a 66-64 victory over Goose Creek Memorial (Texas) in a consolation game of Creed Bracket.

Aaron Williams Jr., Fort Bend (Texas) Hightower

The 6-2 senior guard had 14 points and 6 rebounds in a 66-63 loss to Little Rock Parkview in the first round of the Creed Bracket. He had 18 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists in a 63-55 victory over De La Salle in a consolation game and had 24 points on 10-of-13 shooting in a 59-44 victory over White Hall.

DaJuan Bates, De La Salle (Ill.)

The 6-1 senior guard opened the tournament with 35 points on 13-of-27 shooting in a 80-60 loss to Goose Creek (Texas) Memorial. He had 28 points on 12-of-27 shooting in a 63-55 loss to Fort Bend (Texas) Hightower. He had 36 points off 9-of-23 shooting and made 14-of-16 free throws in a 69-60 loss to Cardinal Ritter (Mo.) in the final consolation game.

Sam Bradford, Goose Creek (Texas) Memorial)

The 6-5 senior guard had 21 points and 7 rebounds in a 80-60 win over De La Salle (Ill.) in the first round of the Creed Bracket. He followed with 14 points in a 87-46 loss to Little Rock Parkview and had 13 points and 5 rebounds in a 66-64 loss to Shreveport (La.) Huntington.

Robert Martin, Christian Brothers College (Mo.)

The senior had 21 points and 4 rebounds in a 63-54 victory over Raymond (Miss.) in the first round of the King Bracket. He followed with 23 points and 5 rebounds in a 67-59 loss to Beaumont (Texas) United. He had 19 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists in a 62-55 victory over Cane Ridge (Tenn.)

Tremaine Dixon, Raymond (Miss.)

The 5-9 senior had 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in a 63-54 loss to Christian Brothers in in the first round of the King Bracket. He had 11 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists in a 58-46 victory over Watson Chapel. He closed the tournament with 15 points and 3 assists in a 58-53 victory over Pine Bluff.

Wesley Yates, Beaumont United (Texas)

The 6-4 junior had 13 points, 3 rebounds and 4 assists in a 66-18 victory over Watson Chapel in the first round of the King Bracket. He had 26 points while making 5-of-12 three-pointers in a 67-59 victory over Christian Brothers College (Mo.) in the semifinal and had 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting with 3 rebounds and 3 assists in a 82-72 loss to North Little Rock in the championship.

La’Bree Williams Jr., Calvary Baptist (La.)

The 6-7 senior had 31 points and 8 rebounds in a 77-46 loss to North Little Rock in the first round of the King Bracket. He had 21 points on 10-of-16 shooting with 6 rebounds in a 63-50 loss to Pine Bluff. He had 13 points and 9 rebounds in a 26-25 loss to Watson Chapel.

Brandon Miller, Cane Ridge (Tenn.)

The senior wing had 34 points and 9 rebounds while making 9-of-10 free throws in a 62-57 victory over Pine Bluff in the first round of the King Bracket. He had 33 points on 11-of-25 shooting while making 5-of-8 three-pointers with 8 rebounds in a 86-59 loss to North Little Rock. He had 13 points and 7 rebounds in a 62-55 loss to Christian Brothers College (Mo.).

GIRLS

Jianna Morris, Sylvan Hills

The 5-8 junior guard scored 24 points in a 60-52 victory over Memphis Hutchison (Tenn). In the King Cotton Classic. She had 19 points and 5 rebounds in a 67-47 over Shreveport (La.) Huntington.

Karsyn Morgan, Sylvan Hills

The 5-6 senior guard scored 19 points in a 60-52 victory over Memphis Hutchison (Tenn.) in the King Cotton Classic. She had 16 points in a 67-47 victory over Shreveport (La.) Huntington.
