Highland football rides defense and three Lukas Stiles touchdowns to a 30-3 win over Aurora
AURORA, Ohio – Another week, another suffocating performance by the Highland defense.
The Hornets defeated Aurora 30-3 and have now given up just 23 points in the last eight games.
In that span, Highland has pitched four shutouts and has allowed a high of just seven points.
Lukas Stiles scored three times for Highland, including the first touchdown of the game after the Hornets forced a turnover.
After Noah Robinson scored a touchdown to make it 17-7 in the second quarter, Stiles scored twice in the second half to close it out.
After averaging 52 points per game over a five-game span, this was the second week in a row that the Greenmen struggled on offense. Last week, they lost 35-14 to Barberton.
Highland (9-0) will try to finish off the perfect regular season next week as the Hornets host Copley. Meanwhile, Aurora will attempt to bounce back from consecutive losses as the Greenmen travel to Revere.
