Gracie Huston of Central Catholic voted the WaFd Bank Oregon High School Softball Athlete of the Week

Huston received 33.02% of the vote, beating out Santiam Christian’s Miranda Scovil, who finished second with 27.15%.

Congratulations to Central Catholic’s Gracie Huston for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Softball Player of the Week for the week of May 1-7. 

Huston, a junior pitcher on the Central Catholic team, had a strong all-around week for the Rams. She went 1-1 in the circle, giving up two earned runs in 14 innings, striking out 32 batters while walking only three. At the plate, she hit for a .375 average with a home run, a double and four RBIs. She had a 1.250 OPS and a slugging percentage of .875.

Huston received 33.02% of the vote, beating out Miranda Scovil, a junior on the Santiam Christian team, who finished second with 27.15%. Macy Witt, a junior on the Tigard team, was third with 8.95% and Taylor Hadden, a senior on the Wilsonville team, was fourth with 8.49%. There were nearly 15,000 votes tallied this week.
