Samara Lugo of Oregon City voted the WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week

Lugo received 43.73% of the vote, beating out Sutherlin’s Addyson Clark, who finished second with 27.45%

Congratulations to Oregon City’s Samara Lugo for being voted SBLive’s WaFd Bank Oregon Girls Basketball Athlete of the Week for the week of Dec. 25-31. 

Lugo, a senior guard on the Oregon City team, tallied a game-high 14 points, eight rebounds and two steals for the Pioneers in their 51-43 win over Crescent Valley in a Platinum Bracket consolation game at the POA Holiday Classic.

Lugo received 43.73% of the vote, beating out Addyson Clark, a junior on the Sutherlin team, who finished second with 27.45%. Madison Huntley, a junior on the Sutherlin team, was third with 9.20% and Love Forde, a freshman on the Nelson team, was fourth with 5.91%. There nearly 21,000 votes tallied this week.
