'Transfer portal' fan account tells Jordan Seaton to 'keep my number' following Colorado commitment

IMG Academy (Florida) five-star offensive tackle Jordan Seaton committed to Colorado on Monday

IMG Academy (Florida) five-star offensive lineman Jordan Seaton committed to Colorado on Thursday, choosing the seemingly-eliminated Buffaloes over his announced six finalists.

The 6-foot-6, 290-pound offensive tackle was the nation's No. 1 uncommitted prospect, and rated as highly as the No. 6 recruit in the country

But given his surprise choice, Deion Sanders' reputation for moving up quickly in the coaching ranks and the propensity for Sanders' led programs to rely on the ebb and flow of the transfer portal, not everyone is sure the Seaton-Colorado marriage will last.

An X/Twitter parody account called "Transfer portal" (@NCAAPortal) sent a tongue-in-cheek congratulatory message.

"Congrats man," wrote Transfer portal. "Keep my number."

Seaton announced six finalists recently - none of them Colorado - and was believed to be leaning toward an Ohio State Buckeyes commitment.

The five-star offensive tackle took a final visit to Columbus last weekend and had long been linked to the Buckeyes.

However, fall visits to Colorado, Florida, Oregon and Tennessee left some believing the Ducks and Volunteers, in particular, had a shot at pulling off the upset.

Instead, it was Colorado who landed the surprise commitment.
