Shallowater defeats Huntington 54-49 in overtime to win UIL 3A title in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO — Keelie Williams and Carli Buckley combined for 25 points to lift Shallowater to a 54-49 victory over Huntington in overtime on Saturday in the Texas (UIL) 3A state girls basketball championship at the Alamodome.

The Mustangs (28-12) outscored Huntington 9-4 in the extra period.

Williams had a team-high 13 points for Shallowater while Buckley added 12. Maggie Grimes contributed 10 points in the victory and had a game-high 12 rebounds. 

Kyra Anderson scored a game-high 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Red Devils (36-7) while Lexi Litton finished with 10 points.
