SPOKANE - Sparked by a 21-0 second-quarter run, the Mt. Spokane girls basketball team beat Shorecrest High School 78-49 on Friday night at University High School in a regional playoffs matchup.

Kyara Sayers and Jayda Noble combined for 16 points in the decisive run as the Wildcats cruised to a 29-point victory. Noble led all scorers with 22 points, while teammates Emma Main and Sayers added 13 and 11, respectively.

The Wildcats held a 41-20 lead heading into halftime and continued to push their lead in the second half, never letting the Scots within more than 17 points.

Both teams will travel to the Tacoma Dome next week for the WIAA 3A State Tournament. Mt. Spokane will play on Thursday at 3:45 p.m. and will await the outcome of Friday's regional matchups to find out who they will play.

Shorecrest will play the winner of Wilson and Capital on Wednesday at 7:15pm.
