Mere seconds separated the moments between Glacier Peak senior AJ Cline seeing the ball splash through the bottom of the net and being enveloped by the Grizzlies student section.

Cline's contested 3-pointer lifted the Grizzlies (9-1, 3-0) to a 57-54 win over Jackson (10-3, 1-2) at Glacier Peak High School on Friday night in a matchup between two teams ranked in the top 10 of SBLive's 4A power rankings.

Tied 54-54, No. 8 Glacier Peak held for the last shot. Senior Bobby Siebers drew a double team at the top of the key and kicked to an open Cline in the right corner. The 6-foot-5 forward let the shot fly past the contesting arms of Jackson forward Sylas Williams.

The highlight was a fitting finish atop what is shaping up to be a competitive 4A Wesco title picture that includes the Grizzlies, Jackson and Mariner. Glacier Peak has won seven straight, including top-10 4A wins over Federal Way and now Jackson. The No. 10 Timberwolves, who lost to Mariner by 20 on Monday, are on a two-game skid. Mariner (9-6, 3-0) and Glacier Peak play Tuesday at Mariner at 7:15 p.m.

Siebers finished with a game-high 20 points and Sylas Williams led Jackson with 19 and 13 boards. Cline had nine points on three 3-pointers.
