YAKIMA - The only thing lurking between No. 2 Bellevue Christian and a perfect baseball season - top-ranked Cedar Park Christian.

And the Vikings cleared that hurdle with ease.

Right-hander Ben Schroeder threw a six-hitter, and the Eagles jumped out to an early lead in a 6-1 victory to claim their first WIAA Class 1A championship at County Stadium.

The Vikings took advantage of a pair of Eagles errors in the first inning and junior Taylor Franklin hit a two-run single en route to a 3-0 lead.

Bellevue Christian finished the season 25-0.
