Aaron Hicks Has One Request for His Teammate's Eponymous Golf Course

Fore! Save this man a tee time.

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Aaron Hicks called dibs on a round of 18 at his new teammate's golf course.

Hicks told Trent Rush on the Angels Recap podcast that he has spoken to Mike Trout about playing Trout National, the course Trout is designing with golf legend Tiger Woods near his Millville, N.J. home:

“I think Trout’s doing a great job with who he has running that course. Tiger’s going to make it tough but enjoyable. I told Mike, whenever you’re done with it, I’d love to be in that group for the first round of that course.”

Hicks is married to Woods' niece, Cheyenne, and is a longtime golfer himself. As he told Rush, the balance of baseball and golf is “definitely tough” on his schedule.

“As soon as the season’s over I get into golf mode, start my golf season. I’m playing probably about three times per week, go practice hit some balls. As soon as it hits spring training I don’t play anymore. I don’t play during the year. I play as much as I can during the offseason then I’m good for the whole year.”

Hopefully, Hicks is focused on helping the Angels get back to the playoffs before he finds himself at Trout National.
