The Los Angeles Angels are wasting no time bringing up a veteran pitcher this Sunday morning. Earlier today, Angels beat reporter Rhett Bollinger announced that Anaheim will have RHP Reyes Moronta join the team today.

Moronta has been in the league for five seasons, all with National League teams. The 30-year-old has spent four seasons with the San Francisco Giants and spent the 2022 season with the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks.

In his five-year career, he has a 10-11 record, 3.02 ERA, 200 strikeouts, and an average of .184 in 170 innings and 175 games.

Reyes started the 2023 season with the Texas Rangers organization before getting released and joining the Diablos Rojos del México, a professional team in Mexico City. He got released on May 10th, and a day later, the Halos signed him as a free agent to a minor league deal. He was assigned to the Triple-A affiliate and will join the big league club.

The right-handed pitcher has spent all of his career on the West Coast, and that will continue as he will now help the Halos add some wins to the win column. We'll see what kind of a role he'll play.
