Angels Free Agent Superstar Shohei Ohtani Signs With Los Angeles Dodgers

He's officially out of Anaheim.

Two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani has signed a 10-year, $700 million to join the Los Angeles Dodgers. He made the announcement on Saturday via his Instagram.

This officially ends a six-year partnership with the Halos where Ohtani blossomed into one of baseball's greatest players.

Ohtani thanked the Angels in his post before speaking to the Dodger fans:

"First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to everyone involved with the Angels organization and the fans who have supported me over the past six years, as well as to everyone involved with each team that was part of this negotiation process. Especially to the Angels fans who supported me through all the ups and downs, your guys’ support and cheer meant the world to me. The six years I spent with the Angels will remain etched in my heart forever."

While the Dodgers seemed to be the favorite for Ohtani, there was always hope he would return to Anaheim. However, winning was of the utmost importance to Ohtani, and the Angels were unable to win with Ohtani in tow.
