Los Angeles Angels superstar two-way player Shohei Ohtani came into the league as an unknown hot commodity. Teams wished to acquire a talent like his, and the Angels were lucky to land him.

Immediately, people knew Ohtani would be special, and he soon became known as the best player in the major leagues.Teammate Mike Trout is still putting up a fight for that title; however, Ohatni seems to be running away with it.

Then again, it depends on who you ask, like Angels owner Arte Moreno, who said he only considers Ohtani a top 5 to top 10 player.

Uhhh, come again?!?! The person paying you millions of dollars and in danger of losing you just said you aren't the best player in the world??? Is he trying to lose Ohtani?

On Saturday, Moreno spoke to the media following his three-year hiatus. He spoke to the press for 25 minutes, and I would've bet my car he wouldn't say anything ridiculous like that. Thank goodness I didn't.

All jokes aside, what the heck was he thinking? It's clear as day that Ohtani is, at worst, the second-best player in the league, which would be behind Trout.

This is a massive season for the Halos as they are trying to erase their playoff skid of eight years and retain Ohtani, who will become a free agent at the end of the 2023 season. A lot is riding for them; we'll see if they respond to the challenge.

Would you even want to play for an owner who thinks so little of you? I wouldn't, but then again, I'm not Shohei. We'll see how this season and these comments play out.
