Your Los Angeles Angels are looking good going into this weekend, as they've won five games in a row. The major league club is doing well, and the minor league affiliates are making many moves.

The Angels minor league clubs announce that RHP and 2018 draft pick Dylan King has retired from baseball, among other transactions.

King was selected by the Halos in 2018 in the 18th round with the 541 overall pick. In his career, King pitched in 54 games with a 6-10 record, 4.48 ERA, 197 strikeouts, and a 1.28 WHIP in 142.2 innings. The righty is only 26 years old and failed to make it out of the minors and make the big league club. He last pitched for the Salt Lake Bees, the Angles Triple-A affiliate.

The Halos also made a series of moves activating infielder Werner Blakely from the seven-day IL by High-A Twi-City. They also assigned infielder Christian Sepulveda to Single-A from High-A and placed infielder Ben Gobbel to the seven-day IL.

We wish King the best in retirement and a speedy recovery for the minor leaguers.
