Your Los Angeles Angels are on a bit of a hot streak when it comes to bringing up their minor league players this season. Most recently, we've seen Mickey Moniak hop into the leadoff batting spot and start raking. Zach Neto has also been unfazed as a rookies this year and Chase Silseth struggled a bit as a starter but should find more success in the bullpen.

Well, it looks like LA is trying to stay on this pattern as they have reportedly called up one of their top prospects once again right before a big series against the Miami Marlins. Welcome to the squad Sam Bachman!

The news was first shared by Robert Murray (MLB insider).

"Sam Bachman is being called up to the Angels, per source. He’ll be used out of the bullpen. Bachman was the Angels’ first round pick in 2021. @ByRobertMurray first reported his call-up.

The Angels were definitely banking on Bachman to become an elite part of their pitching staff at some point, seeing that they took him with their number nine pick in the 2021 draft.

He was able to suit up for 12 games in 2022 in AA with the Rocket City Trash Pandas and posted a 3.92 ERA with a 1.511 WHIP. Those numbers did drop to a 5.81 ERA and 1.392 ERA in just six games this year.

However, LA believes that he is ready to be of value in the bullpen so we should see him very soon!

We certainly do hope he gets some action in this weekend series and begins to grow comfortable within his new role.
