The Los Angeles Angels recently made a move to bolster their pitching depth by signing Carson Fulmer to a minor league deal. Fulmer, a former top pitching prospect, was originally selected by the Chicago White Sox in the first round of the 2015 draft. However, his major league debut in 2016 did not go as planned, and he has struggled over the past six seasons.

During his time in the majors, Fulmer has posted a disappointing 6.41 ERA and has given up 125 hits in just 130.2 innings pitched. He has allowed 100 runs, with 93 of them earned, and has recorded only 118 strikeouts. Despite these struggles, the 29-year-old pitcher will have the opportunity to showcase his skills with the Angels' organization.

Fulmer will initially join the Arizona Complex League affiliate before eventually going to the Salt Lake Bees, the Angels' triple-A affiliate. His last appearance in the majors was in 2021 with the Cincinnati Reds, and he has been a part of four different MLB organizations throughout his career.

Although Fulmer's performance has been underwhelming thus far, his relatively young age presents an opportunity for improvement and a chance to find his groove with the Angels. We wish him the best under the Halos organization, and we hope he finds his groove with the team.
