The Los Angeles Angles picked up their fourth straight win and swept the Chicago Cubs in their three-game series. Anaheim will now shift their focus to their division rivals Seattle Mariners.

Among the many positive aspects for the Halos was the return of Jo Adell, their former top prospect. Adell made his debut in 2023, and right from his first at-bat, he showcased his talent. Adell hit a moon shot to left field in his first AB of the season that left the Halo fans in a frenzy.

Adell contributed to one of the three runs scored by Anaheim.

The 24-year olds exceptional play has not gone unnoticed. However, he understands that the team's current roster may not have room for him, and he isn't trying to step on any toes in the process.

“I’m not trying to force a hand or try to make something that’s not going to be,” Adell said. “Every chance that I get, I’m gonna try to make it the best I can.”

Adell was called up due to outfielder Hunter Renfroe going on the paternity list, and Jo was the only other outfielder on the 40-man roster. Still, he deserved the call-up and will continue to do his thing, whether it's in the minors or majors.

Nonetheless, Jo remains focused on playing to the best of his abilities and helping the big league club stack up wins.

“I’m playing a game of me versus me,” Adell said. “I go out and every opportunity I get, I try to compete and see how much better I can be, whether it’s practice, weight room stuff, out on the field during the game.”

We hope this isn't the last of what we see of Adell. The 24-year-old could be a major help for the Halos down the road in some crucial games.
