After a brutal seven-game road trip last week, your Los Angeles Angels remain one game above .500, which resulted after avoiding a sweep from their rivals Houston Astros. The Halos sit at 31-30 as of June 6, which has them at third in the AL West.

They will look for a better week as they have a six-game homestand comprising the Chicago Cubs and division rivals Seattle Mariners, who sit right behind them in the division.

Still, after a 3-4 week, the latest Bleacher Report MLB rankings puts them in the top half of the league and just outside of the top 10.

12. Los Angeles Angels (31-30)Previous Rank: 12Last Week: 2-1 @ CWS, 1-3 @ HOUAfter going 6-13 with a minus-30 run differential against the Houston Astros in 2022, the Angels are again struggling head-to-head with the AL West leaders with two series losses so far this year. Young starter Griffin Canning has recorded three straight quality starts, and he threw six innings of four-hit, one-run ball in a no-decision against the Astros on Sunday.

Houston has been a handful for years now, and the Halos can't seem to figure them out. Angels superstar Shohei Ohtani even struggled on the mound against the defending champions.

As the weeks go on, it won't be easy for the Halos; after their homestand, they will face possibly the two best teams in the league, the Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Dodgers.

We'll see how this team responds to those challenges and if they're ready to take the next step. The Angels must start separating themselves and go multiple games above .500.
