Ahead of Sunday morning's finale in Minnesota, the Angels announced a slew of roster moves. First, corner infielder Mike Moustakas returns from the injured list after missing time with a forearm issue. He joins the roster along with journeyman pitcher Carson Fullmer who will be pitching at the big league level for the first time since 2021 when he gets into a game.

In corresponding moves, Mike Trout was transferred to the 60-day IL, ending his comeback bid for the 2023 season. The move opened up a 40-man roster spot for Fulmer. Additionally, Tyler Anderson landed on the 15-day IL and C.J. Cron on the 10-day, ending both of their seasons as well.

Moustakas is back after missing a little more than 10 days with his forearm injury. Since joining the Halos, he's been a leader for the club on and off the field. While he's cooled after a hot start, he's still a power threat at the plate for the beleaguered team. He's hit .243 with 8 doubles, 8 home runs, and 30 RBI in 61 games since joining the team

Anderson, who was originally slated to start Sunday's game, has his season ended by left knee soreness. He ends his first year in Anaheim with a 6-6 record and 5.43 ERA.

Cron's return to the Angels didn't turn out well either. Acquired at the trade deadline, the veteran first baseman has played in just 15 games while battling lower back issues. He gone 10-50 (.200) in those games.

The new name here is Carson Fulmer. A veteran of 6 big league seasons, the former first round pick has been stuck at Triple-A in each of the last two seasons. He transitioned back to a starting role in the minor leagues this season, struggling to a 5.00 ERA in 13 games (12 starts) with the Angels this season.

He owns a 6.41 ERA over 74 career MLB games.
