The Los Angeles Angels farm system is not highly praised. According to MLB.com, the Halos are ranked 28th in the best farm systems out of the 30 teams in the major leagues.

It's not their strong suit, but they have solid pieces in their farm system, proving that ranking wrong. You have Logan O'Hoppe, who is taking advantage of his opportunity in the catcher role and is proving he can be the catcher for years to come.

It's great to see young players you draft turn into players you'd hope they'd become, and a former top prospect is doing just that with the Angels organization.

Former Halos top prospect, Jo Adell, is having a hell of a start for the Angels Triple-A affiliate Salt Lake Bees, and general manager Perry Minasian has taken notice

“His buy-in has been outstanding,” Minasian said. “He worked really hard this offseason. So I’m glad he’s seeing the results he’s seeing. At some point, he’s going to help us.”

To say Adell is doing well this season is an understatement. Through nine games, Adell is slashing .353/.476/.1.088 with a 1.564 OPS along with 7 home runs and 15 RBIs in 34 ABs. Adell has a .913 OPS in six minor league seasons with 78 home runs and 260 RBIs.

Jo is playing out of his mind, and I know what you're thinking, "Why isn't he with the big league club?"

The 24-year-old plays left field; unfortunately, there's not enough room for the former #1 Halos prospect. You have Taylor Ward, Mike Trout, and Hunter Renfroe playing every day; however, if he keeps up this play, don't be surprised if we see him sometime this season.

Adell is still young, but it might be time to see what he can do in the big leagues. He was their number one prospect for a reason, showing he is ready for the big time.

Hopefully, we can see Jo in Angel Red soon.
