Just when you think that maybe Shohei Ohtani is entering even the slightest slump, he pops out and reminds you that he is a generational talent like none other. The Los Angeles Angels have been playing incredible baseball. They took down the Chicago Cubs and Seattle Mariners in back to back series and snagged the first two wins away from the Texas Rangers in this most recent series.

Even though a tie wouldn't have been preferred, nobody would have gave LA heat for dropping the final game to the top-seeded Rangers after two great weeks of baseball. However, Ohtani clearly had different plans. The 28-year-old superstar went for six innings on the mound and only allowed two runs while also connecting on a huge homer at the top of the eighth inning.

His ERA now sits at 3.29 and maybe he took things personal after the first stats from All-Star voting came back and he saw that Ronald Acuna Jr. was sitting in front of him in the rankings. However, The Unicorn is literally breaking multiple records every single month and things were no different in Thursday's 5-3 win over the Rangers.

But this time he accomplished a feat that hadn't been reached in over a century!

"According to Elias Sports Bureau, Ohtani is the first player to have a share of the MLB lead in home runs hit and opponents' batting average (min. 70 innings pitched) at the end of any given day since 1900."

Time and time again, we sit here and ponder about where Shohei Ohtani play next but instead we should just be appreciating his greatness.

He still has plenty more years of greatness ahead of him but these types of records last forever.
