Breaking news into the baseball world, as Sports Illustrated's Tom Verducci revealed that Angels' two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani will not be traded this deadline, after all.

The Angels have taken him off the trade market, and will instead make a push for the postseason.

While this doesn't come as a surprise, it is nice to know that Angels fans can stop worrying about the Ohtani trade rumors with six days to go until the deadline.

Ohtani has been the most talked about trade candidate, as in just a few months, he'll be entering unrestricted free agency.

However, the Angels aren't worried about potentially losing him for nothing, and instead are focused on making the postseason — with Ohtani — for the first time since 2014.

So, everyone can stop their trade packages, as no matter what happens over this next week, Ohtani will be an Angel for the rest of the 2023 season.
