Your Los Angeles Angels have found themselves floating around the .500 mark for a couple of weeks now and we may have figured out why.

Currently, they are sitting at a 15-14 record after taking down the Milwaukee Brewers thanks to an excellent redemption outing from Jose Suarez that saw him last five innings on the mound while allowing just two hits with no runs and six batters also struck out at his hand.

However, the Angels are starting to show a continuous trend that if they allow to continue, it will lead them to another season of mediocrity and a missed playoff berth.

"The Angels are 14-14. The makeup of that record: 11-5 vs. below .500 teams. 3-9 vs. .500 or better teams. That latter number will need to flip soon for them to have a shot this year."

The Athletic's Sam Blum revealed this stat that shows the Halos have done the job that needed to be done against some of bottom-feeders around the MLB and should they want to make the playoffs, this should continue.

But LA needs to prove that they can hang with the best of the best. They have a brand new team manager in Phil Nevin and two of the biggest names in baseball with Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout so the state is set for them.

In majority of games that LA is losing to these top teams, it is only their two superstars that are showing up. This needs to change if they want to improve that poor 3-9 record against solid teams.
